Step 1
The recipe for this delicious homemade pastry includes ingredients such as phyllo dough, fresh apples, granulated sugar, butter and shelled hazelnuts.
Step 2
First, let's prepare the filling. To do this, wash, dry and peel fresh, medium-sized apples. I had quite sweet, winter ones. We cut the pulp, removing the seed pods, into a medium cube (as for pies.) Place it in a frying pan in which a tablespoon of butter has already melted (melt the rest of the butter — we will need it when working with phyllo dough).
Step 3
Fry the apples a little so that they absorb the creamy aroma and soften a little. Then add sugar, stir and turn off the heat. The filling is ready.
Step 4
Now let's make the phyllo dough. I used freshly prepared, but if you have frozen, let it thaw completely at room temperature, otherwise it may break. We take a sheet of dough (I have about 25×25 centimeters), which we have lying directly on the parchment, and coat it with melted butter.
Step 5
Then we take the second sheet of dough and cover it with the first one, which we also coat with oil. Cut the square sheet into 4 equal parts. We do the same with the remaining sheets of dough (that is, we get 4 pieces of 2 folded sheets each — that’s 16 cut squares).
Step 6
For baking we need a silicone muffin mold. Grease it a little with butter. Place phyllo dough cups. For one basket, you need to stack 3 squares on top of each other, slightly shifting their edges to create delicious ruffles. That is, for one basket there are 6 layers of phyllo dough (in one there are 7 according to mathematical calculations). Place the dough in the molds, pressing them with your fingers to the bottom and walls, additionally making airy rose-like ruffles.
Step 7
Let's move on to the filling — just put the apples in the holes. Just do not add the juice that remains in the pan so that the dough bakes well.
Step 8
All that remains is to sprinkle the apple filling with chopped (not too much) hazelnuts.
Step 9
We bake our lovely baskets with phyllo dough, apples and hazelnuts for about 20-25 minutes in a preheated oven at 190-200 degrees. The dough will brown — the baking is ready.
Step 10
Let them cool a little in the molds (about 5 minutes) and you can take them out. Let the baskets cool and treat your homemade delicious pastries.
Step 11
Friends, be sure to prepare these baskets for your family. I guarantee you exclamations of affection, and then a joyful purr while eating them. I also want to offer an easy recipe for home baking — prepare simple and delicious whey cookies with your children. Together you will get great pleasure from the cooking process and enjoy the result at a family tea party.
