Preparation: Step 1

  • Prepare products from colored cabbage for steaming. I always do this casserole with the addition of corn flour. This time I added rice — it also turned out well. Flour is needed for greater density, but you can do without it. Solid cheese can be replaced with any other to your taste. It can be either ordinary semi -hard and feta, which I sometimes replace hard cheese. From the greens I have a little parsley and thyme.

  • Step 2

    For steam cooking, I have a special device — a bowl and a «tripod» on which this bowl is put. Place the head cabbage head in a bowl.

  • Step 3

    Place the entire structure in a pan with boiling water. Water should not reach the bowl. Close a lid and steam for 10-15 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Meanwhile, rub cheese on a fine grater. Mix eggs, milk, salt, pepper, flour and seasoning in a bowl. You can also add part of the cheese to the egg mixture.

  • Step 5

    Choose cauliflower in a bowl of cold water, literally a few seconds. After that, you can calmly disassemble it on the inflorescences, not afraid to burn your hands. Salt and mix a little.

  • Step 6

    Put the cabbage in the shape of the inflorescence and pour the egg mixture. I have an ordinary ceramic form, which I use and when baking in the oven.

  • Step 7

    Put the form on the tripod (this can be any heat -resistant object, even an elementary mug), close the lid and cook over medium heat for a couple of another 15 minutes.

  • Step 8

    After this time, open the lid and sprinkle the casserole from colored cabbage cheese. Since everything is very hot, the cheese instantly begins to melt, so the fire can be turned off, closed with a lid, and already in less than a minute all the cheese will melt.

  • Step 9

    Sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving. The casserole of colored cabbage is ready for a couple. Enjoy to everyone appetite!
