Detailed step-by-step recipe with photos: Step 1
-
Prepare all ingredients for simple crumbly sugar cookies.
Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft or see the “Recommendations” block. Oil 82% fat. Classic percentage of fat content of real butter. I only take it.
A chicken egg weighing about 60 grams. Weight category C1.
Use the vanilla you always use. Quantity as desired. I have an extract. It could also be vanilla sugar.
-
Step 2
Cream soft butter with sugar, vanilla and salt. About three minutes.
I never ignore a small pinch of fine salt in sweet cookies. It is needed for a more pronounced taste.
-
Step 3
Add chicken egg and milk.

-
Step 4
Beat for another minute.
-
Step 5
Add sifted flour with baking powder.
I do this twice. First I always use a mixer, and when I see crumbs, I switch to manual kneading.
-
Step 6
Mix until coarse crumbs form.
The results are large crumbs. If yours are small and dry, it means there are a little too few liquid ingredients. Add another spoonful of milk.
-
Step 7
Quickly gather the dough into a ball. Cover and leave in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.
If you make more dough, you can immediately divide it into 2 parts. In this case, you roll out one, and the second one waits in the refrigerator.
-
Step 8
Lightly flour the table and roll out the dough to about 0.3 cm thick.
I rolled it out lightly with a regular rolling pin, and then went through it with a curly one. As I said, the drawing turned out to be not very impressive 🙂
-
Step 9
Cut out figures from the dough. Roll out the rest and cut out again. Turn on the oven at 180 degrees.
It’s quite possible to simply cut it into diamond shapes with the blunt side of a knife, without any leftovers.
-
Step 10
Line a baking tray with baking paper and transfer the pieces.
-
Step 11
Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned. Brown cookies are no longer very tasty.
The time varies depending on the thickness of the dough. If they are thin, then 8-10 minutes will be enough. Well, for thicker people it may take 20 minutes.
-
Step 12
Allow the cookies to cool and settle.
Simple crumbly sugar cookies are ready! Enjoy your tea!
