  • Prepare ingredients for chicken wings in teriyaki sauce for the New Year. The weight of the wings is indicated without peeling the last phalanx. If the wings are frozen, defrost them in advance. This amount is for baking on 2 standard size baking sheets.

    Choose teriyaki sauce according to your own taste. If you are preparing a dish for the first time, take one that is intended for marinating or frying. It needs to be divided into 2 parts: for marinade and lubrication. The set of spices is optional, and if something is not available or you don’t like the taste, then you don’t have to take it. For example, garlic can be replaced with dried garlic or omitted altogether. Dried ginger can also be replaced with fresh ginger if necessary.

    It is better not to replace sweet paprika with smoked one. But part of the soy sauce during marinating can be replaced with the same amount of teriyaki. Instead of rice flour, regular flour will do. Olive oil is used primarily to improve marinating. If you have unrefined sesame oil, you can use it — it will turn out even tastier.

    Place moderately warm wings on top in 1 layer and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

    Lay out the remaining wings, forming a neat mound, sprinkle with sesame seeds again and garnish with chopped green onions or microgreens.
