A classic of the Soviet table, the constant master of all feasts, it is itself a rather labor-intensive, but unique salad, the taste of which is different every time. And it’s true — the taste of Olivier was unchanged during the times of the USSR, since doctor’s sausage was always the same, peas — a constantly unchanged taste, there is nothing to say about mayonnaise. Well, carrots, potatoes, eggs and even more so. There was GOST for everything and the taste of this king of salads was always predictable. Well, it was a little different because of the proportions, but overall, everything was pretty uniform.

Not now! I bought one sausage today, another tomorrow. Eggs C0 “Summer”, and tomorrow C1 “Kokol” of some kind. And there’s nothing to say about vegetables. There are five types of potatoes in the average supermarket — experiment, I don’t want to! But the taste of the salad, with such abundance, became completely unpredictable. That is, the general feeling, of course, remains, but it is no longer possible to match those subtleties of taste.

Well, we won't! Let's enjoy the present and make a well-known salad, where smoked chicken will serve as the “meat” filling. I assure you it will be very tasty:

Product set:

  • Smoked chicken legs (2 pcs.)
  • Eggs (6 pcs.)
  • Potatoes (3 pcs.)
  • Peas (small jar)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Carrot
  • Green onions
  • Green
  • Salt

Boil potatoes and carrots in their skins, cool, and peel. Boil the eggs hard, cool, and peel. We disassemble the chicken and discard the bones. Cut everything into cubes:
