Volovani with mushroom filling: Festive snack

Preparation: Step 1

  • From this amount of dough, 16 Volovanov of various shapes and sizes turned out. If the sour cream is sweet, then it is better to add a little lemon juice for the brightness of the taste.

    Take a small egg. If there is no fresh thyme, replace it with dry. Or take a seasoning that, in your opinion, is suitable for a mushroom filling.

  • Step 2

    The molds should be the same type of but larger and smaller. Cut the even number of circles (or any other shape) and in half of them cut the rings with a smaller diameter mold

  • Step 3

    Divide the egg into protein and yolk. Lubricate the bottoms with protein and lay the rings on top.

    All this can be done already on a baking sheet, which is lubricated with baking paper.

    I bake all the remains of the dough nearby on a baking sheet and make something sweet out of them.

  • Step 4

    Turn on the oven 180 degrees.

    Lubricate everything from above with yolk and put in necessity a preheated oven for about 20 minutes.

  • Step 5

    While frying the Volovans are finely chopped on onions and washed mushrooms.

  • Step 6

    Pour in vegetable oil into the preheated pan and fry the onion to transparency. Put the cut mushrooms.

  • Step 7

    Fry all together to beautiful blunders. Add sour cream, thyme, salt, pepper.

    If the sour cream is sweet, then you can sprinkle lemon juice. If desired and taste.

  • Step 8

    If the bottom in your opinion is too thick, then just click on it with your finger, as if pushing inward. Or cut a little with a knife.

  • Step 9

    The filling of mushrooms can be left in its original form, or additionally chopped with a knife, or can be turned using a submersible blender into a cream mass.

  • Step 10

    Fill Volovans with mushroom filling, decorate at will and can be served.

    Volovans can be baked in advance and stored in a sealed box in a dry place. The filling will be very simple in the refrigerator for a couple of days.
