Preparation: Step 1

    For a variety, sometimes I add to this salad pieces of orange. I like additional juiciness and light sweetness.

    Everything should be thinly chopped. Both carrots and beets are solid vegetables. Believe me, your jaw will not like a thick cut 🙂

  • Step 2

    Cut the cabbage with thin strips.

  • Step 3

    Clean the beets and also chop thin strips. I have a grater Berner, with its help everything is tire. You can use Korean or the most ordinary.

    Peel the carrots and chop thin strips or rub on a regular grater. Everything, as with previous vegetables.

  • Step 5

    Rinse the feathers of green onions, dry and cut into a small strip.

    If there is no green onion at hand, replace it with on onion. Type of cutting — thin feathers. Even better — not onion, but white onions or a prank. They have a more delicate, soft taste.

  • Step 6

    Rinse, dry and chop the greens with a knife.

  • Step 7

    At the apple, it is thinly cut off the skin (and if the apples are homemade, then you can not cut it out) and chop all the same strips. I never ignore this fruit, it fits very well into this salad.

  • Step 8

    Place cabbage in a large bowl, in which everything will be mixed. It is in this salad that I do not wet cabbage until the juice is formed, as is usually done. The brush salad should be lush and crisp, not watery.

  • Step 9

    Add carrots, green onions, herbs and an apple here.

  • Step 10

    Put the beets in a separate bowl and pour lemon juice and a spoon of olive oil. Mix everything. Why is this being done? It’s just that in this case the beets will not paint the whole salad, turning it into a brown mass. If the color is not important to you, pass this step and add the beets with all the ingredients.

  • Step 11

    Add beets to a common bowl.

  • Step 12

    Sprinkle a little salt, add black pepper and the remaining pair of spoons of olive oil. Mix everything. If you don't like olive oil, replace it with any other.

  • Step 13

    The brush is ready. With this, seemingly small in grams, the number of vegetables, the salad turns out quite a lot. Even if you have planned a fasting day on this salad, you are unlikely to eat it. But! It is perfectly stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days. If you do not want to store, simply reduce the number of all ingredients by half.
