Cut the ends from Feihoa on both sides and cut the berry to arbitrary average pieces. I like to cut Feihoa into small pieces of 5-7 millimeters wide. In general, the method of cutting Feihoa is not fundamental.

Put the chopped face in a deep pan. Add sugar and fresh peppermint branches to it. Sugar can be added a little less or slightly larger, depending on the desired sweetness of the compote from Feihoa.
Mint for compote can be used optionally. I really like the combination of mint and Feihoa. It gives compote to light freshness in taste. You can remove the mint or replace it with a branch of fresh thyme. Feihoa has a very neutral taste and is perfectly flavored with additional herbs. It is very tasty to add orange or lemon slices to the compote. Try to use a cinnamon or anisa stroke.

Pour water into the pan. For this amount of berry, I usually use 1.5 liters of water. If you want to get a more concentrated drink, then you can slightly reduce the amount of water. And, conversely, increase to obtain a more easy taste of finished compote.
Put a pan on the fire. Close with a lid. As soon as the water boils, cook the compote from Feihoa with a small boil for about 20 minutes.

Remove the finished compote from Feihoa from the fire.

Remove peppermint branches from the compote. You can serve the compote at once or leave it to cool on the table. The compote will infuse a little more and will become brighter in taste.

It is best to store such a compote in the refrigerator. It will be very simple there for about 5 days.
