  • Prepare the ingredients for beef basics according to the classic recipe.

  • Step 3

    Heat a frying pan and fry the beef, adding a tablespoon of oil.

    The fire is maximum. Stir only when one side is browned.

  • Step 4

    Place the beef in a saucepan, add a glass of water, add half a tsp. salt, pepper mixture and leave to simmer over low heat.

  • Step 5

    Cut the onion into feathers and fry in the same frying pan with a spoonful of oil.

    Fry for 3-4 minutes, over medium heat, until golden.

  • Step 6

    Add tomato paste and continue frying for about another minute.

  • Step 7

    There are also chopped cucumbers and 50-70 grams of water. Leave on the fire for another minute.

    Water is needed to mix in all the aromatics from the bottom of the pan.

  • Step 8

    Add the contents of the pan to the beef and simmer until tender.

    It took me half an hour.

  • Step 9

    Also cut the potatoes into cubes.

  • Step 10

    Add a spoonful of oil to the pan and fry the potatoes until lightly browned. Add salt at the very end.

  • Step 11

    As soon as the meat is soft enough, add the contents of the pan to the frying pan with the potatoes. Add chopped garlic and bay leaf.

    I like to add it to the pan, it’s convenient to mix. But if it’s a duckling, then I add it to it.

  • Step 12

    Simmer everything together for another 10 minutes until the potatoes are ready. At the end, adjust the taste and add some greens.
