Prepare all the ingredients for making homemade cold tea.
The number of ingredients is calculated 1.2 liters of the finished drink.
As a basis, take black tea of good quality with a bright aroma and a rich natural taste. Do not choose flavored teas. Raspberry and thyme will perfectly complement the taste of tea and make it very bright and without chemical flavors.
If you like very cold drinks, then you need to freeze the ice in advance. To do this, you can use special molds or disposable bags.

Prepare the base for cold tea.
Pour black tea into a kettle. Boil 550 milliliters of water. Leave it for a few minutes so that the temperature drops to 80 degrees. Pour 50 ml of hot water into the kettle. Slightly scroll the kettle so that the water washed the brewing, and drain this water almost immediately. Next, pour the remaining 500 milliliters of hot water into the kettle, close the lid and let the tea brew for 5 minutes.
Remember, do not brew tea with boiling water. So he loses not only part of his aroma, but also the taste properties of tea leaves. The finished drink acquires bitterness. Washing of tea is necessary not only to remove contaminants invisible to the eye, but also to “awaken” tea leaves. Thanks to this action, any tea becomes more fragrant and acquires a beautiful color.

Drain the brewed tea in a separate container. Cool completely, and then put in the refrigerator so that it cools well. Usually I brew tea in the evening, clean the refrigerator at night and cook homemade cold tea in the morning.

Prepare a content for home cold tea.
Put the fresh raspberries in a cup and rush them with a fork. You can use not only fresh berries, but also frozen. Very often I make a mix of different berries. So the tea turns out to be different.

Step 5
Add raspberries of honey to the penetrated berry and mix everything well. Honey in cold tea acts as a natural sweetener. It goes perfectly with all the ingredients and gives tea a delicate aroma.
But if for some reason you do not like honey or there are contraindications, then it can be replaced with any natural sir, for example, Jerusalem artichoke. In extreme cases, you can always add sugar to tea based on your tastes.

Prepare a decanter or lemonade for the supply of homemade cold tea.

Add fresh thyme twigs to the lemonade. I especially like them in combination with black tea and raspberries. But you can also proceed from your tastes. They can be replaced with peppermint sprigs or rosemary.

Add 700 milliliters of chilled boiled water. Mix everything well. It is better to store homemade tea in the refrigerator so that it is always cold. Such tea is perfectly stored for about 3 days, which means that it can always be done in reserve.
