Prepare all the ingredients for buckwheat without meat in a pan. They are very simple and affordable. You can take any buckwheat, but it is always worth considering that, depending on the grade of cereal, the time of its preparation will change.

If necessary, then it is worth sorting through buckwheat in advance to exclude the fall of the husk. My buckwheat is clean, and I immediately start cooking.

  • Step 2

Peel the onion of the husk, rinse and cut into small cubes. In the recipe, I used white onion. It can be replaced with on-hand or onion.

  • Step 3

Pour vegetable oil into the pan, heat it over medium heat and add chopped onions. You can use any oil. Sunflower, olive or the one you usually use for cooking.

  • Step 4

Pass the onion over medium heat for about 1.5-2 minutes with periodic mixing. The onion should start slightly gilded.

  • Step 5

Prepare carrots for buckwheat in a pan. Clean the carrots and cut it with the average identical cubes.

  • Step 6

Add chopped carrots to the pan to the onion. Cook for about 2 minutes over medium heat.

  • Step 7

Pour buckwheat cereal into the pan. Add salt, spices and water. There should be twice as much water than cereals.

Close the pan with a lid, bring the water to a boil, reduce the fire and cook buckwheat in a pan with moderate boil. On average, it takes about 15-20 minutes to cook buckwheat. But, I repeat, a lot depends on the buckwheat. Always pay attention to the information indicated on the packaging of your cereal.

Spices can be used that you like more.

  • Step 8

Remove the finished buckwheat from the fire. It turns out very crumbly. The water is completely absorbed, and the vegetables are not boiled, but retain their beautiful shape.

By the way, for cooking buckwheat in a pan, you can use any vegetables. Pitch beans, sweet bell pepper or mushrooms are perfect. So you can always change the taste of the finished dish.

  • Step 9

Buckwheat with onions and carrots without meat in a pan is ready. It can serve as an independent dish or you can supplement it with a salad of fresh vegetables.

    Bon appetit!
