Detailed step-by-step recipe with photos: Step 1
-
Prepare all ingredients for stewed cabbage with sausage. As you can see, I have 2 types of sausage. You can add plain sausages and bacon. I use freshly frozen dill. The season for fresh has already ended, but frozen is no worse and just as fragrant. For cooking, I use either a thick-bottomed pan or a duck roaster. Both are great for frying vegetables and then stewing them. I take a can of already chopped tomatoes.
-
Step 2Cut the onion into medium cubes. Watch the master class “HOW TO SPEND NO MORE THAN 1 HOUR A DAY IN THE KITCHEN AND AT THE same time feed everyone tasty and healthy”👉🏻HERE
-
Step 3Pour a couple of tablespoons of oil into a pan and fry the onion until golden brown.
-
Step 4Add a can of chopped tomatoes to the onion and simmer for 5 minutes. When tomatoes are heat treated, the taste is enriched, the acidity disappears, and a slight sweetness appears.
-
Step 5Do not chop the cabbage coarsely.

Step 6Add all the cabbage in portions, stirring, add salt and pepper and simmer for about 20 minutes. The heat is minimal, the lid is tightly closed. Add about 200 grams of water, and then watch. If you see that it’s a bit dry, add another 100 grams.

Step 7Cut the sausage into small pieces.
-
Step 8Fry the sausage until lightly browned. You can skip this step, but after frying, the taste becomes brighter and richer for me.
-
Step 9Check the cabbage for softness and if everything is good, add sausage and bay leaves. Simmer for another 15 minutes.
-
Step 10At the end, add dill and, if necessary, salt and pepper. Simmer the cabbage and sausage for a couple more minutes.
