Broccoli chicken in the oven: PP recipe

Detailed step -by -step recipe with photo: Step 1

  • Prepare the ingredients: if a frozen chicken is used, get it in advance, you can not defrost broccoli, but it is better to defrost the onions (it will not lose its shape). In this recipe, I use low -calorie cheese «Light» with a fat content of 25%. Of course, another cheese is suitable.

Cream can also be replaced with a 10%sour cream or, in extreme cases, Greek yogurt. And instead of chicken fillet, a dietary turkey is quite suitable.

Onions are often sold in supermarkets and I recommend using it in many recipes, if there is such an opportunity. After all, its taste is soft, pleasant, much more interesting than that of onhum. But in the absence of a pare, any other will fit completely: white, shawl and even red onion.

As for seasonings, it is necessary to choose what is suitable for broccoli instead of the coriander: a mixture of “Italian herbs”, “Provencal herbs”, Oregano or a little dried parsley. An interesting taste is obtained by adding dried green onions. In this case, you can abandon fresh onions.

    How to freeze broccoli

  • Step 2

Pour 2/3 of the water into 4 liters and put on strong fire, bring to a boil. Separate the inflorescences from the stump when using fresh broccoli.

  • Step 3

Put the inflorescences in boiling water, bring to a boil again and cook for 3-4 minutes.

  • Step 4

Put the cabbage on a colander and let cool slightly.

Tip: the inflorescences are tender, it is better to treat them carefully so that the tops do not fall off. You can get cabbage from the pan with a slotted spoon and transfer to a colander.

  • Step 5

Adjust the length of the trunks at the inflorescences of broccoli, cutting them with a knife.

Important: long “legs” worsen the consistency of the dish and change the taste of cabbage, enhancing the characteristic “cabbage” smell. However, if desired, they can also be used in the recipe.

  • Step 6

Cut the chicken with pieces of 2-3 cm. Turn on the oven by 200 degrees with upper and lower heating.

  • Step 7

Fry the chicken in a pan with an anti -stick coating, a lubricated drop of oil, until moisture is evaporated and light crusted. Fry on powerful heat for about 6-8 minutes.

Important: the roasting will reduce the amount of water in the finished dish, since it already has enough liquid due to cream.

  • Step 8

Beat 2 eggs with a whisk in a bowl.

  • Step 9

Add cream, coriander, salt and mix thoroughly again.

  • Step 10

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

  • Step 11

Put the chicken in shape. I use a form of 30 x 22 cm in size.

  • Step 12

Lay out broccoli on top, separating large inflorescences with your hands.

  • Step 13

Add chopped onions. I used a thawed onion, sliced in circles.

  • Step 14

    Pour cream sauce prepared earlier.

  • Step 15

Sprinkle with grated cheese. The quantity can also be adjusted to your taste, but, in my opinion, it is better to use at least 100 g to the specified volume.

  • Step 16

Put chicken from broccoli in a preheated oven and bake at 200 degrees 30-35 minutes. If the crust is not golden enough, add another 5-7 minutes.

  • Step 17

PP chicken with broccoli can be served immediately. The dish holds a good shape even in hot condition.

    Bon appetit!
