New Year's mandarin cookies

Preparation: Step 1

  • Prepare all ingredients. For decor, I used sugar, slightly tinted in yellow. You can take ordinary white sugar. To make cookies pleased with a delicate creamy taste, use good quality butter. Mandarin's zest is suitable for fresh, frozen or dried. Instead of tangerine zest, the zest of orange or lemon is perfect. Sift the flour before use through a small sieve to remove excess species and saturate with oxygen.

  • Step 2

    The butter will be softened. Remove from the refrigerator and hold at room temperature so that it becomes well soft. Cut into portioned slices and move into deep dishes. Pour sugar powder for the clock. If it is advisable to sift with lumps.

  • Step 3

    Take a fork and grind well until a homogeneous smooth consistency. To speed up the process, you can use the mixer.

  • Step 4

    Pour salt and vanillin. You can replace with vanilla sugar or not add a flavor at all. Grind with a fork until smooth.

  • Step 5

    Add the mandarine zest. Mix. Before removing the zest, tangerines scald with boiling water and dry with a towel. Take a grater with small cloves and remove the upper layer of the yellow zest. I needed 2 small thick -skinned mandarin.

  • Step 6

    In portions, add flour a little bit.

  • Step 7

    After each addition of flour, mix well with a spoon so that all dry ingredients moisturize well.

  • Step 8

    Knead the dough. It should not stick to the hands. The weight of the finished test turned out to be 300 g.

  • Step 9

    Divide the dough into four identical pieces weighing 75 g each. From each piece, roll an even ball. Put on a flat plate. Cover with a film and send to the refrigerator for 60 minutes. If the dough is flying in the refrigerator night, it's okay. You can also freeze the dough.

  • Step 10

    Remove the buns from the refrigerator and cut each ball into 8 pieces, imitating slices of tangerines. It should be 32 blanks.

  • Step 11

    Shake the yolk and pour into a deep plate. Pour sugar into another small dish. Dip the workpiece with a wide side in the yolk and regain in sugar. So do with all the slices.

  • Step 12

    Cover the baking sheet with parchment. Put the chopped slices. Warm up the oven in advance to 180-190 degrees. Send bake for 15-20 minutes. The baking time depends on the power of your equipment and the size of the workpieces.

  • Step 13

    The cookies «mandarin slices» are ready. Let the liver cool and serve. The total weight of cookies 300 g.

    Sanding cookies can be frozen after completely cooling. Before serving on the table, hold at room temperature.

    Ready cookies are stored in a tin can at room temperature.
