Preparation: Step 1
-
Prepare all ingredients for the preparation of tea from currant leaves and raspberries.
In my opinion, the leaves of currants are significantly fragrant more aromatic leaves of raspberries. Therefore, I always take them a little more.
I use the leaves of blackcurrant.
Lemon and honey are not compulsory ingredients. But both of them add benefits and taste. If you like calm tea without sweeteners and light curls of lemon, then do not add.
-
Step 2
Rinse the leaves, shake and remove coarse legs and stems.
The leaves are taken from the upper part of the bush. They must be young. Without signs of illness, not damaged, beautiful «juicy» color.
Both raspberry leaves and currant leaves gather in late June — early July, in the bloom season. If in your region flowering occurs earlier or later, then focus on it. Moreover, there are now many varieties that are divided into early and later.
-
Step 3
Pure prepared leaves of currants and raspberries are folded in a teapot.
I have a tender coffee pot, which is perfect for tea.
By and large, you can brew tea even in a bank, covering it with an ordinary plate.
-
Step 4
Pour the leaves with boiling water.

Step 5
Cover the kettle and let the leaves of currants and raspberries brew for about 10 minutes.
At the same time, the tea will still be hot, but already quite normal temperature, to add honey, which is not advisable to pour boiling water.
-
Step 6
After 10 minutes, add honey and lemon, mix slightly and let stand for another 5 minutes.
Everything, tea from the leaves of currants and raspberries is ready!
-
Step 7
Leaves of currants and raspberries can be perfectly dried for the future.
Prepared leaves must be put in one layer on a paper towel. Dry a couple of days, covering from dust. It is important — no direct sunlight.
In my opinion, this is the easiest way to dry leaves. There are also options on the site, and you can choose the one that will be more convenient for you. The article was dried mint, but with leaves of currants and raspberries you can do exactly the same.

Step 8
In tea from leaves, currants and raspberries are very tasty to add berries. It can be dried and frozen, and, of course, fresh. I advise you to harvest everything in the season in order to enjoy delicious tea all year round!
You can also diversify the taste with mint, lemon balm, a pinch of green or black tea.
By the way, another controversial moment. Some recommend collecting raspberries and blackcurrant leaves before flowering, while others on time. There is no consensus. During flowering, the content of all useful things is one version. To collect to flowering, since the plant gives part of the nutrients to colors — the second version. Choose yourself who to listen to.
It is also considered a good time to collect the leaves closer to the fall, when the berries are collected.
Enjoying appetite and useful tea!
