Preparation: Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients for making stew with meat and potatoes.
Recommendations for the choice of ingredients:
Tomato juice can be replaced with a divorced tomato paste (1 tbsp. With 150 ml of water). You can also use grated fresh tomatoes.
You can choose vegetables at your discretion. Onions and carrots add sweetness, and Bulgarian pepper makes the taste more fresh and fragrant. You can also add celery, broccoli or mushrooms.

Clean the onion. Cut into small pieces.

Warm up the pan with vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the bow for a couple of minutes.

Clean carrots. Cut into thin circles.

Rinse pork under cold water. Dry it with paper towels. Cut into cubes about 2-3 cm.

Add the meat to vegetables. Fry the pork for 7-8 minutes, turning the pieces.

Prepare potatoes for stew with meat.
Clean it and cut into large pieces of 2-3 cm.

Add potatoes to meat and vegetables.

Add water, tomato juice, salt, pepper and bay leaf.
Bring the stew with meat and potatoes to a boil. Reduce fire to weak. Stew under the lid for 40-50 minutes so that the pork becomes soft. If you have hard meat, you can simmer longer-1-1.5 hours.
Tasting the stew. Add salt or spices if necessary.

The stew with meat and potatoes is ready.
Remove bay leaf at the end of cooking. Put the finished stew in deep plates and serve hot. You can decorate with fresh herbs, for example, parsley or dill.
Ready stew can be stored in a container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. It is better to heat in a pan, adding a little water or broth. You can freeze up to 1 month. Before use, defrost in the refrigerator and heat over low heat.
